Small towns are great because many folks know and trust and love one another and really have fun getting together and making a party for almost any reason. Garlic is a good reason to have a party. “Garlic Fest II” happens on Sunday, October 28 from 1 to 8 PM in the Morrisonville K of C Hall in Morrisonville, IL just about 10 miles from our front door. Have you ever heard of Bagna Cauda? It is
a rich, creamy sauce made from anchovies, butter, cream and garlic for dipping bread, cabbage and all sorts of other things in to get it onto your taste buds. One taste and you will crave more. Bagna happens from 1:30 to 4 PM. The main course is fresh, homemade garlic sausage, mostaccioli, garlic bread and slaw. Of course, there is a cash bar with your favorite liquid refreshments to wash this all down with. Music will be provided by “The Music Men” and, as usual, a good time of dining and dancing will be held by all. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Don’t miss it! Be sure to get there early, the doors open at 12:30 PM, in order to get a seat and to not miss the Bagna.
